Aerobic exercise causes the muscles to move with oxygen, thus burning both carbohydrates and fat to produce energy. In practice, aerobic exercise is considered to be activities such as walking, cycling or running the treadmill, however we can perform aerobic exercise even with body weight exercises as long as they are performed with moderate intensity and long duration.
